Sometimes a program did not shut down completely last time it was open. In this case use Task Manager to completely shut it down or restart the machine and try again. If these do not work, it is usually best to reinstall the program. If you do an install without uninstalling it is a repair install and many settings usually are preserved.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

The first trick I tried was shutting the system down and restartiing it. It did not work. But somehow, I have found a temporary way of going in. I need to open a bare autocad it self and go to File-Open to open the required file. If I i click on the file itself, say stored on desktop, the error shows up again and shut down. I will keep going through bare autocad till a better solution. Ofcourse, re-installing may solve it but was not ready to reinstall imediately. Will try that much later.

Thanks.
