Windows 7 starter may run reasonably on 1GB, but Windows 7 home premium 32bit runs best on 2GB (1GB is minimum) and 64bit runs best on 4GB or more (2GB minimum). You need to purchase additional memory for you system to run better. Visit www.crucial.com and let their site analyze your system for what best to run/buy, even if you do not purchase from them. You may need to add a stick, you may need to remove and add two, this is the easiest way.

I bought memory from Gateway for an eMachine and it worked fine.
Just cost to much. I latter tried to buy more memory (2 times) form a different seller at a cheaper price. Bought times the computer would
blue screen when playing games. It was made in China
No problem with the returns.
I gave up and bought Windows 7

Anyone can purchase good quality memory from Newegg or TigerDirect if they know exactly what they need, Crucial will scan the system and tell anyone exactly what is needed and guaranty this.
