my laptop is working fine but the problem is, it shows 8 windows in partition on a single monitor and I couldn't even make changes on the screen resolution. Once its below 800x600 it remains the same and nothing can change it. Can anyone give me some pointers? should I replace the screen or is there any solutions that can be tried out?

1- Please explain more clearly. "Partitions" are related to hard drives, please use normal terminology so we understand.
2- LCD monitors like your laptop should be run at their native resolution for best viewing and I doubt that is near 800x600, it is probably much higher. Your manual should list this.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

If you mean that you can see several screens at one time (vertically or horizontally) then most likely you have too high a referesh rate. If you have no other information available set it to 60 - in safe mode if necessary.

You should then increase your monitor to its native resolution, as per advice given in #1.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

A posssibly is that the screen is set to display the windows tiled.
