I ALWAYS download my drivers directly from the system manufacturer for original manufactured system and its components and from component manufacturers for add ons and custom built systems. This is the ONLY way to make sure you get the correct driver. You can use system restore to restore everything to before you installed those drivers and either leave it that way if it works or go get the correct ones and have the newest drivers available. Typically if you were not having trouble with components then you do not need to update drivers unless you are trying to get the MOST out of your system possible.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Just to add to the above, which I agree with, those third party sites are not there as a public service. They have probably sold your working email address to others. The only time you should consider using a third party driver site is if there is no other alternative.

Many, if not all, of any listed drivers were supplied by other users. There is no guarantee they will work or if they will muck up you hardware. Even if the third party site redirects you to the manufacturers site you are better off going there directly.

Google is your friend.
