The problem is probably with your tower or video card, not the monitor. It's difficlut to offer advice when don't you don't supply any info about your system.

Check monitor cable connections on both monitor and video card side for loose and/or bent pin problem.

If you use HDMI cable to connect to your monitor, use DVI or VGA cable. Sometimes, HDMI connection creates problems.

If your monitor does not receive signal, it should go into power-saving mode, as riider has pointed out above.

Just a suggestion: When you want to turn your computer on, turn your monitor on first and then power up your tower.
