There maybe a way to save at least some if not most of your lost files, but the first thing to do is NOT save anything to your hard drive. This is because the actual files are typically still on your hard drive, but the reference as to where to find them is gone. Because of this, ANY save MAY put a new file in the same location as an old file, thereby wiping out those traces.
I do not actually have any experience in recovering lost files, but others will probably come along soon and give you some suggestions on their preferences. Also, you can search these posts for 'file recovery' and you may get that faster if you like.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
If all else fails, read instructions.

There are a number of things you could try. One that I think may be the easiest if it works is to use a program called recuva. Get it at the link below. Read all instructions.

Solution #2 is the best answer, but don't forget...the more you install on the computer, the less chance you have of recovering your pics.

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers

Bob

"If you restore your system windows 7 to factory settings then there are no chances of recovering your data back"

FYI that isn't entirely true. There are many recovery programs that may be able to recovery some or all of the data. It all depends on weather or not it was over written during the restore process.

Recuva seems to be the simplest one I have come across. Try downloading and running it. You will be amazed at how many old deleted files will show up. It is best not to run any recovery program from the partition you are recovering from. Just another reason to use multiple partitions.
