Solved missing operating system on reboot

Specs: Windows 7
I have tried to reboot my laptop and keep getting the missing operating system across a black screen

If you have a windows dvd go ahead and boot it up, but make sure your bios settings are correct meaning the cd/dvd drive starts first. If you performed a repair of windows and you still get the same result i hope your ready to replace the HDD.

Any CD's in the tray?

Have you changed the boot device in your bios?

If not than you might need a windows repair using the CD\ DVD

Please provide sufficient information when asking question, like what your did before it happened?
