Yes, I am going berserk right now. The middle button is a must because I browse a lot, write in Wordpress etc... So I constantly open things in a new tab with the middle/wheel mouse button. Until today...

Now whenever I press the middle button the sound goes mute on/mute off. I am going crazy. I have not installed any new program. Please save me, save my sanity, help me :-)

Alright, it was my darn mouse. After half a day of search I have managed to find, accidentally a secret key combination that disables this function. I have a mouse with multiple buttons on the sides and they are all disabled (I don't need them) because I have not installed the driver and software, but it seems that some strange combination enables the mute function even if the mouse has no specific drivers.

Problem solved but I have shortened my life by a few years, daaaaymn :-)

Unlike the other buttons around your mouse, the middle
button doesn't need a driver because the middle button
is standard, along with the left and right buttons.
