There are many versions of NET.frameworks. I suggest you read the sceens and identify which version and update is giving you the problem.

Then go to Control panel> Programs and features. Click on the show updates then find any listings for the version/update in question. Click on them and select uninstall.

Reboot and manually go to Windows update service. The required updates should show there. Select to install ONLY the same updates you have been having trouble with. After those are installed, assuming that happens, you can then install the remaining critical updates.

I do not using auto updater. Instead, I allow updater to show me a list of available updates for me to review and choose what to install. This will appear as a popup in the tray by the clock if updates are available.

The cause of the problem may be a corrupted file. The program requiring the version of NET.frame is requesting it but the list shows it already installed.

BTW, NET.frame versions are NOT cumulative. If a program needs a certain version, only that version will work.
