Microsoft Lync live sip monitoring for calls?

August 6, 2014 at 18:31:27
Specs: Windows 7
We are setting up a full blown Lync environment to replace our PBX. Does anyone know of a tool or a feature within Lync that would allow someone to live monitor the usage of the trunks and know when they're in use?

For example, a lot of PBX systems have a feature where you can see all the numbers in your organization and when they're on a call, their entry turns red, and when they're idle, it's green to signal the line is available/not in use.

Anyone have any feedback? Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks!

In the Lync client, users can monitor status of there favorite contacts.
I think the lync server must have similar features for monitoring all users.

If there are still analogue trunks then there must be PSTN-to-Lync-server interface present or the existing PBX as PSTN interface.
This interface should have the tools to monitor trunks.
