"registering a printer driver software"

You don't normally have to register printer drivers - can you explain in more detail?
Did you get the driver from the printer manufacturers website (drivers from anywhere else could either be incorrect or even contain malware). Avoid those websites that offer programs to find drivers

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

I have a printer driver software cd and when installation is completed then I get this window saying "register your printer driver" and ask me to enter few details as name ,address, serial number etc. after filling all the details I get a pop up - message from webpage obj undefined.

✔ Best Answer
Is the printer working OK?

It sounds like some annoying message to do with registration which is not really necessary - could be that the website is faulty.

If all you require is to get shot of the message, is it popping up again when you restart the computer? If so type msconfig in Search then go to the Startup tab. If you can find something that looks like printer registration then untick it and it won't bother you again.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Good news. If you care to select a Best Answer this will mark this thread as closed.

Most likely there is a registry entry and a few files still lurking but your safest bet is to keep whatever you found unchecked unless you are familiar with registries etc.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
