Making an additional partition in HDD

Specs: Windows 7
I successfully make an unallocated volume but i fail to make a new simple volume, after following the onscreen instructions it finally displays that, "dynamic disks are not supported by this operating system or server configuration. Dynamic disks are not supported on clusters".
Please help me.........

You probably already have four primary partitions on the hard drive, and that's the maximum number you can have.

Post the model number and brand of your computer. Do you have installation disks for your computer?

Windows 7 makes an extra partition at the beginning of the drive and the restore partition uses another partition. Then Windows 7 is using a third partition.

You can rework the hard drive or if you have a desktop computer you can add a second hard drive.
