i have lost the wireless reciver can i install any software o replace this
well roughly how much is a reciver then ?
you probably have to buy the mouse & receiver Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
I suppose this depends on what type of reciever you are are talking about. What reciever have you lost? a wireless mouse reciever, or an xbox 360 controller wireless reciever for pc, or a gamepad reciever, or a bluetooth reciever. I could go on, but I think you're getting the point on giving us little more info on what you've lost.
Second, if you've lost your reciever, then you cannot replace a piece of hardware with sotware.
As for prices? well that depends on the information you supplied to my first point, but this also makes for a total guess because we don't know what currency you wish to buy it at, plus the tons of websites and shops available to you are endless. You could buy a mouse and reciever for 99p (UK), but go to a pc shop and it may cost up to £30.

Going by what he has listed in product box its a Belkin Wireless travel mouse
Boy do I need a lesson in reading before posting lol. I automaticaly assumed the windows 7 forum was about the OS, and didn't even bother reading the product type.
Well now the egg is on my face, my apologies to Coner for not reading the title of your post.
i assume if its a belkin travel mouse that you are using a laptop, which generally has built in wifi and bluetooth, so you may be able to connect your mouse directly to your onboard wifi/bluetooth and use it from that...however i think that you will need to buy a new adapter to make things easy.
i hate computers!
but cant help myself....

I want to go like my grandfather did. Peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming at the top of my lungs like the passengers in his car.(\__/)
