Lost files in a temporary user account

Microsoft Windows 7 home premium

Specs: Windows 7, T4300 @ 2.1 GHz
My flatmate recently started using our computer so I set up a separate user account for him. I started moving all of his music across, only to find the next day when I logged on that it had disappeared. When I log onto his account a pop up says that this is a temporary account and that all files will be lost when logged off (which obviously i did not see when I started moving his stuff over!)
A) Is there any way I can get back the lost files? It was a LOT of music and he's going to kill me
B) What can I do to make sure this doesn't happen in the future?
THANK YOU!

Where were the files originally stored?

Just do a search *.mp3 and you should see all the files, then you can burn them onto a CD or DVD.

By the way, calling a woman a 'flatmate' hmmmm....isn't she offended? ;-)

"You missed the word "him"?"

Nope. I didn't, I was just messing around with the poster for the slang ;-)

'Mate' applies to both males and females, at least in Australia =)

Doing the MP3 search worked! I still have no idea why they were deleted in the first place, but thank you so much!

Thanks for posting back, glad to help.

I was just joking about the flatmate, I did know what you meant LOL.
Most of my female friends are bustymate ;-)
