Acer stopped making scanners a long time ago so there's no way they will have a Windows 7 driver for it, or even Windows Vista. However, all is not necessarily lost. There's a scanning application called "Vuescan" which installs it's own generic scanner driver for most USB scanners which have no Windows 7 driver available.
Vuescan is not free but you can try it for free to make sure it works with your scanner:

just run the scanner in compatibility mode and it should work Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
Windows 7 should be able to make the scanner work in a basic mode without any additional drivers. However, any bundled software may not work then. Compatibility made may be your best solution, if that works.
I have old printers hooked up to my Windows 7 in compatibilty mode and they work great. Vista should do the same Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
