Specs: Windows 7, 16Gb
OK so I do have a question, would someone please tell me what the devil this means. Makes me feel uncomfortable... Down in the far right corner of my PC screen aka- tool bar, I see the computer and it shows that I'm in-fact connected to the internet. (well dah ya think?) When I slide my mouse arrow over that little computer symbol a tiny balloon pop's up and it read this message:

Network 3
Internet access

OK, I have disabled all wireless connections. Now when I first got on the internet it only read Internet access, Never said 3. With my old PC I saw it go up to 2 and I saw it later on go to 3. Someone please tell me what this means. I have tried googling this and can't really find a straight up answer. It's like this is something no one has noticed or seen. Is there someone else sharing my PC or connected to my PC?

Depending on the amount of network cards (LAN, WLAN, Bluetooth, IrDA aso.), your computer counts the networks for the available connections.

So LAN connection may be Network,
WLAN connection gets Network 2,
Bluetooth gets Network 3,
aso.

Well "professor", Win7 has 3 possible network types - Home, Work, or Public. Try right clicking on the network icon, then click Open Network & Sharing Services for more info.

If you were to disable an UN-installe the present Network 3 and then reinstate itt the same as it was before would become Network 4.

Nothing to worry about, just the way Windows enumerate different network connections

"it shows that I'm in-fact connected to the internet."
Not sure that is an accurate statement. It may tell you something. It may not prove it has internet access in reality.

Instead of using mouse over, click on it to show more info.

More info would be at
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network and Sharing Center

Or click on it at the icon popup.

Hang up and live.
