go to hp for updated software, although many vista drivers do work with win 7. and lots of vista software too, so you need the software your trying to install, cos win 7 covers a lot of stuff without requiring 3rd party apps

Your question is too vague for anyone to help you. HP Products does not tell us anything nor does your leaving out the 32-bit/64 bit information about your Windows.

You haven't responded to my query above so II guess this is what you wanna know:

Device drivers designed for 32-bit versions of Windows won't work on computers running a 64-bit version of Windows. If you're trying to install a printer or other device that only has 32-bit drivers available, it won't work correctly on a 64-bit version of Windows.

xp user,
32 bit drivers and apps do work in x64,
x64 apps and drivers do NOT work on 32 bit systems..
x64 is backward compatible with many 32 bit apps and drivers and that is why you have two program folders one for x64 and one for 32 bit..although there are obviously some apps and drivers that require updates to run correctly many 32 bit will run perfectly well on X64 systems
