Linksys Router disconnects itself after being idle for 15mns

Specs: Windows 7
We have a Linksys router and a Netgear adapter and all worked fine until I got a new desktop with Windows 7. Now I can connect to Linksys router to get to internet, but it disconnects itself after a few idle minutes and I have to restart computer to get Linksys connection back. My other computer, husband's laptop, does not disconnect. I believe it is a setting on my computer or windows 7 that needs fixed. Mary

It will probably be the Netgear wireless adapter on your PC that's disconnecting. Windows may be putting it to sleep after a period of being idle. Check Windows' settings for the adapter in Device Manager.

Right-click the adapter and choose "Properties", then click the "Power Management" tab.
