Link to Windows Photo Viewer

April 12, 2011 at 10:25:57
Specs: Windows 7
When I click on a JPEG file, Windows Photo Viewer starts. But there is
no link to that program on the Start Menu, and no obvious .exe file to
make a link to. How can I do that?

WPV runs as a .dll on dllhost.exe. You would have to find the command line - probably something like dllhost.exe <path of photo viewer.dll>.

But I suggest you install free Irfanview instead, for much more functionality.

Thanks. I'll definitely get the latest Irfanview if I need to get a
specifically 64-bit version. I thought I just downloaded a version
a few months ago for 32-bit, but I don't see it anywhere...

I have Irfanview installed and default for everything, but for some reason Explorer uses Windows Photo Viewer for all files in the iPad. How can I disable the thing?
