Specs: Windows 7, 2gb ram
I have an acer aspire 4730z that was upgraded to windows 7 a year ago. Now the screen is reddish and I have tried restarting, updating graphics and nothing. Any ideas?? This happened about a year ago, stopped and now it's back again and it has been this way for a week...

That could be due to a problem with your graphics hardware, or your cable from the motherboard to the LCD, or the inverter in your screen or the LCD screen itself.

If it is your graphic, then if it is on-board you will need to replace the motherboard. Replacement motherboards (if you can find one) are expensive.

If it is a separate miniPCI card you may be able to replace it. You might have to look for a second hand one from eBay or places like that.

If it is the LCD cable or inverter then you will have to replace them/it.

If it is the LCD itself then that will need to be replaced. Replacement LCD screens are expensive.

All, except a miniPCI card, require you to open your laptop.
This is not for the faint hearted.
You may have to take it in for investigation and/or repair

When everything else fails, read the instructions.
