LCD Display Problem.

Specs: Windows 7 Ultimate, Intel(R) Core2 Duo
Hello there, I have a problem with the LCD display of my Toshiba Satellite A200-2BO. I do not have any idea what is wrong that is causing this problem.

Here's the problem:
- The top half of the LCD is ok. However the bottom half is not ok and is black sometimes. At other times it is dim and or gives out blurred mirrored image of the top half. Sometimes it displays stripes of yellow/orange/green/black thick lines accross or down. At other times the bottom half of the screen gives out jumpy blurred display.
-Initially 1/6 of the LCD from top was ok. Then after some time 1/3 and now 1/2 of it. I don't know if it will keep on doing that till it all clears up and goes back normal. I have no idea at all.

Please help me out and figure out this problem.

Thanks.

Keith. E.

This is a laptop, if you have a VGA port, try connecting an external monitor. If the external monitor is normal then your display is going and will need to be replaced. If the problem is also showing on the external monitor then you probably have a video circuit problem but try updating your drivers from the manufacturer's website and see if that helps. If this does not help you will need to replace the laptop, if the replacing the monitor (as above) is too expensive and this is an older system then consider replacing it anyway. IF you have a warranty or extended warranty that will cover it then you are in VERY GOOD shape and just contact them.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
