Laptop won't connect wirelessly!

Specs: Windows 7 home premium, 2.13 dual core CPU,4GB RAM
I just got a new laptop I would like to have it on wireless.It can connect to my linksys befw11s4 router but not to my dad's d-link DIR-655.His router is setup this way:
security OFF
mac filtering ON
My laptop is setup this way:
static IP:
subnet mask:
default gateway:
It can connect via wired,but not wireless.
I tried turning off mac filtering,but it didn't work.
The laptop is a HP G62-454CA.

Why is your laptop set up with a static IP address? It should be getting it from the router.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

switch to auto ip, and switch of mac filtering.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....

It's set up with a static ip because the router has dhcp turned off.
I tried turning off mac filtering.
