Laptop touchpad has stopped working solution

October 11, 2011 at 03:58:21
Specs: Windows 7
Solution re-posted as discussion thread closed:

This happened to me after an update of software
in which case "Fn + F7" option will not work.

Before attempting System restore [time consuming, and will undo all good stuff you have already loaded]

This solution doesn't require you understanding what you've done wrong,
and worked for me:

Windows Start > Control Panel > Device Manager > Mouse and other pointy devices > TOUCHPAD

Open, & select: Driver > ROLL-BACK DRIVER
