Laptop in admin group but no admin rights

Hewlett-packard Mini 2140 netbook

Specs: Windows 7 pro, 4g
we have som e HP tablets 2730P that we have windows 7 installed and we are connected to an active directory and these computers are in the admin group on the domain but when a teacher logs in they aren't admins on the local machine like they should be. I have removed them from the domain restarted the computer and then added the computer again and even used gpupdate /force to attempt to bring down the local admin rights. I have used the ghost console task and I tried it manually but neither works.
when I log onto the machine (admin on whatever computer I log onto) it works fine and by works fine I mean I can install things like printers and software.

the other laptops in the group do have the local admin when teachers log in, it just seems to be these few tablets that have the issue

You have a very serous problem. No one should be logging into admin accounts.

If your account works and theirs doesn't then it is some account feature. Look for RSOP.

our teachers are admins on their laptop computers so they can add stuff as they need it, but it just the machine admin that they cannot get on these laptops. the laptop is an admin for the computer only whoever logs in.. I'm an admin on all computers with just my login it doesn't matter what domain group the computer is in. but I will get around just have to check the other computers that are working I guess
Thanks

No, you have a security issue. Stop that.

that doesn't really help, anyone else have any ideas why the teachers aren't bringing down the right on these tablets? we have even taken the computer out of the admin container and then moved them back and still no admin rights
