Kodak hero7.1 Poor quality washed out prints

Specs: Windows 7
I use Kodak ink - washed out prints and pictures and excessive use of ink.when originally purchased excellent results Heads are cleaned and calibrated makes no difference Printer is for domestic use so not excesively used. Approx 18 months old very disappointed having purchased with a lot of research and good reports.
can you advise?

Suggest you contact Kodak support in this instance. Also when submitting a post you should provide details of the printer you are using and whether you are using the ink recommended for the unit.

I'm not sure if this option is available on your printer but on my old Canon printer, there was an option for the type of photographic paper used and it absolutely made a difference in print quality.

Go into the print settings in Windows and make sure you have it set to the proper paper type.
