keyboard maps some keys incorrectly,sometimes

Microsoft Windows 7 professional 64-bit

Specs: Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, Intel i7 4GB
After typing for 15-20 minutes, the keyboard mapping suddenly changes, but only for some characters. For example "~" suddenly becomes "#". If I save the file, and reopen the program (e.g. notepad) the keyboard works fine until next time 15-20 minutes later. If I have 2 windows open that use the keyboard (e.g. DOS and Notepad), the Notepad keyboard strokes may be corrupted, but the same keystrokes in DOS are OK, or the reverse. I've changed keyboards, and connection types (USB and PS/2) but that didn't help. I haven't noticed this happening with XP Virtual Machine, but not all the programs I use work well on XP virtual machine..

Microsoft support does not list any fixes for this, although there is reference to a keyboard timing problem where keyboards ALWAYS produce the wrong characters for some keys only.

Any suggestions?

Here are the keystrokes for each of the four keyboard rows with and without upper case after the corruption has started:
