Junk mail settings in live mail do not work.

Specs: Windows 7, 2.1 GHz / 3002 MB
I have junk mail protection set to high, marked many emails as junk, added senders to blocked senders list and added senders domain to blocked list yet new messages from these still go to my inbox folder rather than the junk e-mail folder.

I tried deleting all entries in the list and start over, but still doesn't filter the emails.

This blocking used to work but maybe one of the updates caused it to stop functioning?

Live Mail Version 2011 (Build 15.4.3502.0922).

Junk mail comes in many different forms. They may even change the domain name by a letter or number etc. There are so many ways they spam you, it's hard to keep up with it. i would suggest you change your email address and make a fresh start. Keep your server address for friends etc., and use an online email server like yahoo etc, when you order things online or of asked to supply an email address on a web page.

Thanks for the reply. I should have included the detail that the domain has not been changed (I checked the properties for the email).

I just found this as well, but I had the same problem last year, ie after an upgrade, the add to block sender didnt work. The solution was to do a repair on Windows Live mail, but I cant get that to work with this latest uprade. Obviously another M/Soft 'improvement'. I'm sure they will fix it eventually, pity they didnt remember this happened before. You shouldnt have to change your email address, just wait for them to fix it.
