Solved Java 7 update 15 32 and 64 bit installed but doesn't run

March 3, 2013 at 20:17:59
Specs: Windows 7
I have a Windows 7 64-bit laptop and suddenly Java won't run in either IE 10 OR Comodo Dragon. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both Java 32 and 64 bit numerous times even using JavaRa and running CCleaner. I have booted in safe mode which solves nothing. I have disabled my f-secure anti-virus and tried to run it. Nothing works and there is nothing on the internet regarding this issue strangely enough...there is no help on the Java site. I have used the stand-alone offline installers. Every suggestion doesn't work. Please help.
I hope the moderator who moved this noted that Java doesn't work on any browser...NOT just IE.

Uninstall completely. Install Malwarebytes in Safe Mode, update, and run to make sure you are clean. Remove all it finds. Reinstall only 64bit only from Java site. I do not know anything about your f-secure antivirus program but recommend Avast Free and Webroot. It is rare that today's modern antivirus programs will interfere with a legit program installation and disabling it can be very dangerous.
If this is really a sudden problem, and Malwarebytes does not pick up on anything to remove, it still is possible you have a really nasty infection hidden really well. In this case, do a System Restore to a date at least a week before you began noticing anything wrong, reinstall and rescan with Malwarebytes, and try reinstalling Java as above again.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Thanks for the responses however the solution I came up with resolved it. I reinstalled JDK and once it was installed it prompted to be allow to run through the firewall(Windows) and Threatfire on a Java enabled site.
