Specs: Windows 7
I received a check in the mail for 500.00 from Shop to Win LLC, is this a legal check that I can cash or is it some type of trick ?

A good rule of thumb is: if it sounds, seems, feels - to good to be true, then usually it is...

Don't know the outfit you refer to, but I' d be very cautious... You may find you're signed up for who knows what and then billed atc. accordingly ad nauseum.

More than likely this a pretend cheque - a promo of some sort and not worth a hill of beans, or a pinch of 'coon s...t

It seems to be an online shopping service. Do you have it installed on your computer? Here's some info:

It's doubtful the check can be redeemed for cash. As already mentioned, it's probably a fake promo check or it may be credit you can only spend on items they sell at vastly overinflated prices. Or if it is a check you can deposit be sure to read the fine print. Depositing it may obligate you to use their service.

Just ask yourself, what sort of business would survive if it gave out checks for 500 randomly to people? That only happens in fairy stories.
