Specs: Windows 8, [any]
I have seen Windows 7 lite edition. Is it better than the original Windows 7? I have an old PC. If not, please suggest a better OS. Thanks/

Better for what? You haven't given any specs of your computer so we have no idea what OS will run on it or how well. It would also help to know what you use you computer for.

First off, Windows 7 Lite is entirely illegal.

Second, it's basically an even more stripped down version of Windows 7 Starter.

I'd go with Windows 8.1, it uses considerably fewer system resources.

As stated above, Win7 Lite is an illegal Windows version & cannot be discussed in these forums. We need system specs to be able to suggest an alternative. One of the lightweight Linux distros such as Mint 17 Xfce or Zorin OS Lite should work, but it would depend on the processor, video card, & amount of RAM.

Oh, I was going on the assumption that the user wanted some Windows OS.

I'd agree with riider, there are several Linux variants that will use very minimal amounts of RAM and CPU time.
