Is it safe to shutdown PC if broadband doesnt

November 26, 2010 at 14:41:34
Specs: Windows 7
My Sprint Sierra 250u broadband does not turn off after I disconnect. The "safely remove hardware" shows I am still connected. I removed the original program and reinstalled with the same result. Is it safe to shut down? Was able to restart after reinstalling. Is this the same as shutting down?

your post is a bit confusing, if you mean shutting it down, there is no problem with that.

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers

Difficult to stop a network like that sometimes. Many programs and updaters are constantly trying to access the internet even without your knowledge.

I'd consider using the safely remove usb feature if you felt it was still using your minutes.

Why did it take me over a year to phone in a problem to ATT?
