Specs: Windows 7
Hi I have a Iomega zip drive 100MB parrallel in put. I have added a cable to convert it to USB. But my windows 7 does not recognise the drive. It worked with XP. I only want to make it work to copy the disks onto CD/DVD for use on the normal drive. Can you help please.

The usb to parallel is a parallel port to the computer. It does not make the device a usb device. You can not use zip 100 parallel on windows 7.

If you have a parallel port you can try a few idea. One is to make a boot floppy or cd in dos with the correct config.sys and autoexec.bat and the files for the zip. It has been so long I doubt I could remember.

Second may be to use a live linux cd to boot to and move data. See

The last idea may be to install a virtual machine and install a supported OS like Win95-XP even it you don't activate it for 30 days xp, any xp disk would work.
