Specs: windows, 4GB OF RAM
I have windows 7 ultimate 32 bit installed in my pc. A few months before my old hard disk of 500 gb was crashed unexpectedly . Then we installed a new WD 500 gb hardisk into the system. After a few weeks the system got infected with FOLDER.EXE virus and all the folder in the D drive and the E drive changed to .EXE files. Several files on the drive like movies ,videos got infected also and when i tried to copy those files to a pendrive or a memory card ,after some time of copying process a I/O error popped up .So i formated the hard disk and reinstalled windows. But still the problem exists And i can't copy my files between my system and pendrives.
The error that keeps popping is:-
The instruction at 0×769CA1C1 referenced memory at 0×68CB6DB0. The required data was not placed into memory because of an I/O error

Plz help

It could be a hard drive going bad, faulty RAM, or some other hardware failure. Have you run a chkdsk on the drive?

I admire your opinion. But how do i know that this could be a hardware problem . Is there any application to check the fault ?
IF it is because of faulty ram then please suggest some checkup tools.
