Specs: Windows 7
3 days ago my internet explorer (latest version) stopped working. I am now using Google chrome, however all of my shortcuts and emails use internet explorer by default. I am thinking re-install internet explorer however I cannot uninstall it as I cannot find the program in control panel.

"however all of my shortcuts and emails use internet explorer by default"

That's because IE is still set as your default web browser, so you need to make Chrome your default web-browser instead. See this:
https://support.google.com/chrome/a...

"I am thinking re-install internet explorer however I cannot uninstall it as I cannot find the program in control panel."

Go into Control Panel > Programs & Features
In the left panel, click "View installed updates"
Scroll down to Windows Internet Explorer xx (where xx is the updated version)

Right-click on it and left-click "Uninstall".

After uninstall is finished, IE automatically reverts to the previous version.

You cannot, however, uninstall the original version that's included with Windows 7 because Windows uses some components of IE all the time, even if you never actually use it for web browsing.

Thanks, tried that as well as uninstalled a few other programs I was not aware of. It would appear to be working now. The home page was changing to one I have never heard of even though I had set the default in internet explorer, its amazing what you can pick up when your not looking for it.

Once again thank you for your assistance.
