What is the make and model number of your computer? If it is home built let us have the motherboard make and model number instead.

The RAM doesn't just depend on the CPU. Run this scanner on it:

(It is important that you get the correct RAM).

In a general way I would advocate checking the whole spec because the RAM might not always be the bottleneck. However, increasing the RAM to 2GB would almost always be of benefit with Win7. If you have a 32 bit computer then 1GB is the minimum MS suggested requirement. Mostly computers perform badly with just that - MS have always been highly optimistic (put too many programs on it and it crawls).

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

No, it's not your PC spec. It's partial info about the processor in your PC. There are numerous Celerons that run at 2.80GHz. Do you have a desktop or a laptop? What is the make/model & model number of your computer? We need this info to determine how much RAM can be used by your motherboard & the type/speed that is necessary. We also need to know whether you're running Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit.
