What ever drive Windows is installed on, Windows will call this C drive, regardless of what another installation of an operating system designates the drive.
In other words, if you have an XP installation and have OS on C and files on F and then you create a new partition and install Windows 7 on it, Windows 7 will designate this new partition as C drive and the other 2 drives will possibly be designated D and F but the F may or may not be the storage drive in this case but it could be either one.
Use the partition's size as a guide to which is which and then add labels (names) to each drive in each OS to help keep things straight in your mind (names like Windows XP OS; Windows 7 OS; Storage Drive, etc.).

I hope this helps you sort this out. If you have any more questions, need clarification, want to add clarification to the original, or just to tell us you got it, post back.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
