Install 64bit windows 7 on 32bit machine

Specs: Windows Vista, 3
Upgrade from Vista HP to W7 64b on 32b comp. Curently running Vista Home Premium 32 bit and want to install windows 7 64bit. Computer has 32bit hardware. Is it even possible?

It is not possible to install a 64 bit OS on 32 bit hardware.

Bummer. Thanks for the quick reply though. One more question, is it possible to downgrade my 64bit to a 32bit?

The license keys are working for both version, 64 bit and 32 bit.

Most hardware for quite a while has been 64bit.
To upgrade or downgrade 32bit/64bit you need to do a clean install so back up your files to another drive/external drive.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
