I can't view the thumbnails without double clicking then opening. I don't know what's happened. And everyone says to uncheck that box saying "allow thumbnails only, not icons", and it IS unchecked! and then i went to my pictures folder, then it showed thumbnails for a few seconds, then it went back as being icons... HELP ME!!!

This often happens when the virtual memory in your computer is low.. do you often run programs to clean your system?

That's why your seeing things like that, so.. I think you just need to clean your system up and you'll be good.

- Run the disc cleanup - Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disc Cleanup
- Go onto download.com and download and run: Ace Utilities, Spybot - Search and Destroy
- Uninstall some programs you don't want or need and delete some files that are no longer needed (do not delete system files). Or maybe transfer some stuff to an external hard drive?

If your still having issues after these steps, then let me know, but doing these will definitely get you back into shape!
