in dos how to fetch a word from a line in a file
i want to fetch a last word in each line from a file in dos environment.
please help me to fix this.

2/19/2010 12:57:33 AM - -> WARNING: Script action 36 from batch 2 returned Failure: Node already exists in version, cannot be added. Hierarchy / Node: "FinRpt-RC / 2001-7876001-215".

from a above line i need to fetch this code 2001-7876001-215 alone.
please provide me a solution.

You should either post this question in the MS/PC-DOS forum or the programming forum. I would suggest programming since it's a batchfile.

As I doubt the OP is using both 20 year old hardware and a 20 year old OS, I'm pretty sure Novell Netware would be just as valid as MS-DOS.
