✔ Best Answer
See if you can get to:
Tools > Internet Options > Advanced. If the Reset button is not grayed out then it would be worth using it.

You will lose add-ons (which come back with usage) and customizations but your Favorites etc should stay intact. Note your home page in case it reverts it to MSN (unless that's what you are using).

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Restart in Safe Mode with Networking, Download, Install, Update, and run Malwarebytes. Remove all it finds.
If it finds anything, update your antivirus program and run that also. If both finds and removes junk, repeat running Malwarebytes.
Restart normal.
Do a Disk Clean Up (Computer, Right click on hard drive, select Disk Clean Up. After it evaluates, check all, OK, OK. This might take a while if you have not done it in a while or at all.
Open Internet Explorer. Go to Tools (or cog), then Manage Add Ons. Disable anything you did not put there intentionally.
Clean out History & Cookies regularly (disk clean up just did this for you), set History to keep only 2 or 3 days and set Cookies to delete when closing IE browser.

Try Firefox to see if you like it better.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

If all of that fails you can also download another copy of internet explorer (assuming the browser window still works).

If you cannot do all of #2 above, do a system restore to a date at least a week before the issue began. Then repeat #2 steps above.
