I want to remove InPrivate Browsing from IE8

August 26, 2010 at 23:47:08
Specs: Windows 7
Countless parents seek information on how to remove "InPrivate Browsing" from Internet Explorer. This is a feature many of us clearly do NOT want. Apparently it cannot be removed from IE 8 if you have Windows 7 Home Edition, and perhaps other Windows versions as well. (Hello Microsoft -- we bought the "Home Edition"!: think children; think parents who want wholesome family activities online ... why is this "option" even available!?!)

If anyone knows, please tell me (& all the other parents submitting this query to message boards all over the internet) how to turn OFF InPrivate Browsing! If there is no solution, we will delete Internet Explorer.

In Internet Explorer, in the menu, where you can find "Files", "Edit", "View", "Favorites", "Tools" and "Help", click on Tools and deaktivate "InPrivate Filtering"
or
press CTRL+SHIFT+F
to deactivate InPrivate Filtering.

The original poster should always write the last response !!!
Let us know, if the problem is solved !!!

Furious Parent, after you do what response 1 mentions, then why not have a limited guest account for others than yourself, so they can't turn it back on...makes sense to me

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
