1st you remove 11, then you remove 10 (if you ever had it).

Trouble then is they will always want to update during automatic updates. If you are having nothing but troubles, try firefox or google chrome. Import your bookmarks and stuff over during the install and see if that isn't more stable for you. Firefox may ask you to install some needed plugins such as flash or java which it will prompt you for if needed. I use firefox personally, though I had no issues with Chrome and it pretty much updates and looks after itself. There are an abundance of issues with people, youtube videos not playing properly, it seems to be an adobe flash/web browser problem, but in any event I would consider switching from IE all together.

To err is human but to really screw things up, you need a computer!

The solution to the auto update to IE11 is to not use auto updater. I allow Windows to show me what updates are available for my system. I then look at the list to decide which updates to download.

You can tell update to never show any update you do not ever want. You can undo that at any time.
