Solved I put the camera card in, how do I see the photos on compute

Specs: Windows 7
I put the card from my camera into the computer, but I don't know how to access them on the screen. What do I do to see the photos and what section are they in? And how can I e-mail a photo to a friend? I'm new at this.

✔ Best Answer
Click "Start", then "Computer" in computer you should see your camera card listed as a device under "removable media" Double click on it, should show you a folder and in the folder should be your pictures. Yes you can email them. If you have the right default set (and you might not) you can simply right click on a picture or select a bunch a few pictures....right click "send to email", it will ask if you would like the images made smaller for mailing (probably you do) say yes, and it will bring up and email with those pictures attached. Alternatively you can open your email program, start a New Mail, and "attach" the pictures as file attachments, then you would navigate back to device in to select the photos you want to send.

The folder is normally called DCIM

If the pictures are there but you want a specific action when you insert the card, shout back and we can tell you.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

The easiest application would be to download Picasa FREE:
http://picasa.google.com/
That way when you insert your card you can set it to download to Picasa immediately...PLUS, it is extremely user friendly...so have fun!

First step is to see if the pictures are showing in the folder (diagnosis) - all the rest follow from that.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
