I need to have several Windows 7 startups...

February 29, 2012 at 06:09:48
Specs: Windows 7
Sometimes I don't need VMWare...Bamboo...MagicDisk...etc...
Would like to choose the start up programs and services...like a "boot" option without having to use msconfig each and ever time. Like old macros...batch files...
I KNOW it can be done.
Please help.
Thank you.

Do you need those programs loading at startup? Why not just start them as you need them & close when you're done? Otherwise all they do is load & run in the background, prolonging the boot time, & needlessly hogging RAM. Ideally, you should have a little as possible loading at startup.

I concur. Problem is with programs like VMWare, Bamboo Docker...etc (the ones I need on occasion) well...there are "several" services that start up with each...sooo I thought (like back in the good ol' days) I could run separate...well...start ups for the configuration I needed. Good ol' batch files...macros...uggh! I know it can be done and Thank you all for responding. I am looking at those links now. First I gotta UNINSTALL Windows 8 Customer Preview from dual boots...lol
Thank you all again. Any new ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...
