are you putting the dvd in the drive and then starting your computer, or trying to run the dvd from inside the x64 win7.
drop the dvd in the machine, reboot, press any key to boot from dvd when the message pops up, it should install normally, if not your dvd reader or dvd is at fault, try creating a bootable usb, and set the bios to boot from usb.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....

You can not undertake a down grade.

You either need to run a multi-boot

..or freshly install W7 32, which would mean you need to re-install programs and have to save your data prior to install

Wait a minute. The drive will be available to the system. The software you are wanting to install may not be needed. It may be that you can substitute free software such as VLC to watch movies.

Why did it take me over a year to phone in a problem to ATT?

when I install the 64 bits , no problem it install it!!!
I do not know waht to do, dualboot did not work.
I have been told to instal the BIOS for 32 bite and set it as default, but I can't change setting of BIOS!!!

just out of curiosity, what is the issue with your 64 bit that you want to downgrade? most 32 bit programs will run well on 64 bit, and 64 bit has no issues other than uses a little extra ram, you should be able to run x64 perfectly well on your system so why bother.
if you are having problems you could just do a factory restore and everything will be as the day you bought your machine, but you should save your files first..
HP supply a recovery parttion which can be accessed by repeatedly pressing F10 at startup.
it maybe that your machine just isnt cut out to run your 32 bit setup, odd but possible, some items may require extra drivers, like bios, chipset, video/sound cards etc etc

what is the reason you need/want to downgrade?

hi, I have a dental manegemnt program, as well as digital x-ray and intra oral camera, that can not work on 32, we already tried, and put my RAM to 8G, but no help, so I need 32 bite, I put it on my other machines and work well, but on the HP touchsmart does not work, asked HP if tcompatible with 32, they said yes.
