Hai frnds... i want to install windows 7 on my system presently having windows xp home edition/sp2 as my os. i want to format my c drive and install windows 7. but the problem is my sys is not detecting the dvd in booting time. i had employed evry thing that i know. i checked my bios settings. no problm there... can any one suggest me a solution....!!!!!
Your PC does have a DVD drive not just a CD drive?
did you try the windows 7 advisor before attempting the install? Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
as above, you can download a copy of windows 7, and save it on a seperate partition, or usb stick and load it from there if you do not have a dvd drive, but first run win 7 compatability tool. i hate computers!

ya my pc is having a dvd drive.
and i also tried windows 7 advisor. it advised to run a custom installation not an upgrade...
