I need help in loading Norton 360

I can not get norton 360 to load from a disc that l purchased today

What happens when you try? Please provide as many details as possible.
Is the version you bought compatible with your operating system? Are you running a 32 or 64 bit version of Win 7 and is the version of Norton compatible with that bit version?

If there is any chance you can return it (probably not if it is open), that is what I would recommend.
Use Avast Free Version instead. It uses resources better and actually protects you better. If you prefer to pay for your protection, Use Webroot Secure Anywhere which I personally use at home.

If you insist on using Norton, go to their website and use their support that you paid for. If anyone can get it to install, they should be able to.
If your machine previously had McAfee on it (even a trial version), you need to visit their website and download their uninstaller and use that to completely uninstall their program which may be preventing the install.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
