Specs: Windows 7
i lost my favourites list on google chrome , how can i reset them? i was trying to erase history in the browser but it didn't work so i changed a few things in the settings i think i deleted cookies and a bunch of other stuff...? and the whole thing reverted back to an earlier version of chrome (look/display) and restored OLD favourites and folders at the menu bar . do you think a restore point action would restore them?

It might… worth a try at least?

Some suggest to export or otherwise save favourites from whichever browsers you use - to somewhere safe… - at regular intervals. This so as to have some degree of backup/duplication in case of such an event as you have….

Sign in to your Google Account on the affected computer and your Bookmarks should be restored from the backup on Google's server. May take up to five minutes for them to appear after logging in to your Google Account.

If you don't have a Google Account it would have been wise to back up your Bookmarks from within Google Chrome. I do that any way even though I do have a Google Account.

If you don't bother to back up files and bookmarks there will always come a time when you wish you had.
