I am guessing you may not have an adequate graphics card for Win 7. It does use more resources than XP. XP would run good on 1g, Windows 7, not so good on one gig, it crawls. You have 2 gigs tho and that should do to get it rolling, the processor is a lil slow which isn't helping, but what we don't know is what video card or how many megabytes of ram it has on the video card. I suspect a lacking video card, which can probably be upgraded to a 512meg or 1g card would work, if your computer can take it.

In general, on older systems XP will run better on less. Those system were not designed to handle an operating system like Win 7 and upgrades to make it run smoothly on an older system can be more cost than benefit. If it's just a video card that's not so bad,

Did you install Windows 7 drivers for your hardware from system manufacturer's website? This MUST be done immediately after completing Windows 7 install if you want it to run properly.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
