I have no keyboard and computer won't turn on

November 19, 2011 at 12:31:42
Specs: Windows 7
My keyboard broke and was thrown away. I don't have the money to get a new one but I have an onscreen keyboard if I can get the computer to turn on. It keeps saying "keyboard failure press F1 to continue or F2 to enter setup. I can't do either option without a keyboard. Is there any way to get around this without borrowing one from someone? I don't really have anyone that has a spare one laying around to borrow.

I think you are stuck without a keyboard. But they can be bought for less than $10, so it's not a huge expense.

If you're lucky you might find one dumpster diving. Only F1 and a few other keys have to work.
